An honest assessment before work starts, the quote is fixed in writing.

We assess your chances against your profile, prepare the compliance file, help you present your source of funds properly and handle communication with the bank until it decides. The final decision always rests with the bank, so no one can guarantee an opening - careful preparation simply improves the odds.

We quote the exact cost for this country after a short consultation: it depends on the bank and your residency. The quote is fixed in writing before work starts.

FAQ

Can a non-resident open a personal account in Curacao?
In practice it is hard: banks are built around residents and people with legal status on the island. Non-residents with no local connection are usually declined or steered towards products with high thresholds. This is not a convenient place to park a personal account.
Do I need residency?
Yes, local status effectively decides it - a residence permit, employment or another lawful basis for being there. The bank will want a local address and proof of your income source. Without that, the conversation rarely gets past the application form.
What currency is the account and are there exchange controls?
Accounts are available in the local currency and in US dollars, with the local currency firmly pegged to the dollar. The island has historically operated an exchange regime with a levy on outbound payments, so check the current rules and charges with the bank. Transfers cost more here than in the euro area.
Does Curacao exchange tax information?
Yes, the jurisdiction participates in CRS and reports non-resident accounts to their country of tax residence. A Caribbean address has not meant secrecy for a long time. Choose the account for payment convenience, not for hiding assets.
