FAQ
Where do we start with a family relocation?
With two questions: where you will be tax resident and which status gives you the right to live there. Everything else follows: accounts, schooling, insurance, property. Order matters - changing residency retroactively is expensive.
How long does relocation take?
From a few weeks for digital nomad visas to a year or more for investment and family programmes. The real timeline is documents, consulate appointments and local immigration queues.
Will I pay tax in two countries?
Only if you are resident in both at once or earn income taxed at source elsewhere. Usually residency rules and a double tax treaty settle it.
What about bank accounts when moving?
Open the account before your status changes: once you move, your old bank may restrict service to non-residents. Prepare source-of-funds evidence in advance too.
Do you help with children and schooling?
Yes. Family support covers document requirements for children, legalising birth and medical certificates, insurance and school enrolment questions.
