FAQ about Jordan

What investment is required for Jordan citizenship?
From $750,000 to $1,000,000, depending on the option: a Central Bank deposit, government bonds, shares in local companies, or a job-creating business project. The $750,000 minimum applies to projects outside Amman; all other options require $1,000,000 or more.
How long does the process take?
About 3 months from filing to passport issuance: roughly 1 month for documents, and about 2 months for screening and approval.
Do I need to live in Jordan during the process?
No. Residence is not required during the application or to keep citizenship. You only need to travel for biometrics and to collect your passport.
Can I include my family in the application?
Yes. A spouse, minor children and financially dependent parents can receive citizenship alongside the main applicant, with no additional investment required.
Is dual citizenship allowed?
Yes, Jordan officially allows dual citizenship and does not require you to renounce your first passport.
