When is the best time to visit Belgrade?

May, June and September are the most pleasant - warm, green and full of open terraces. Summer can push past 35C, but that is when the floating river clubs and Ada Ciganlija beach come alive. Winter is grey and damp, though the cafe culture never stops.

Is Belgrade cheap to live in?

It is cheaper than most EU capitals, though rents jumped after 2022 with the influx of new arrivals. Food, cafes and transport remain affordable. Vracar and Dorcol cost noticeably more than New Belgrade and the outer districts.

Is Belgrade safe?
