Best time to visit Tunis?

April to June and September to early November are the easiest months. July and August are hot, though the coast stays bearable thanks to the sea breeze. Winter is mild and rainy, and the medina and Carthage are almost empty.

How many days do you need in Tunis?

Two or three days cover the medina and the Zaytuna mosque, the Bardo museum, the ruins of Carthage and Sidi Bou Said. The city also works as a base for a day out to Dougga or Hammamet. People stay longer mainly when they are heading south towards the Sahara.

Is Tunisia cheap?

It is one of the cheaper Mediterranean destinations, with food, transport and accommodation well below European levels. The dinar is a closed currency you cannot freely export or exchange abroad, so you change money locally. Cards are not accepted everywhere, so keep cash on hand.

Can you move to Tunisia?
