FAQ

Is Basseterre worth visiting?
The capital is compact: the Circus, Independence Square, the Old Treasury Building and the national museum take a couple of hours. The real draws are around it - Frigate Bay's beaches, Brimstone Hill Fortress and the scenic railway. For many people Basseterre is simply a cruise stop.
When is the best time to visit St Kitts?
December to April is dry and settled - the high season. Hurricane season runs June to November and peaks in late summer and early autumn. Low season is cheaper, but some restaurants and hotels shut down.
Is St Kitts and Nevis expensive?
Yes. Almost everything is imported, so groceries and restaurants cost about as much as in the US. Local food and the shared minibuses between towns are where you save. The currency is the East Caribbean dollar, pegged to the US dollar, and US dollars are widely accepted.
How do you get citizenship in St Kitts and Nevis?
This is the world's oldest citizenship by investment programme, launched in 1984: a contribution to a government fund or an approved real estate purchase, plus due diligence checks. Minimum amounts, options and vetting requirements have changed several times, including after agreements between Caribbean states. Confirm current terms only through officially licensed agents.
