Can a non-resident open a bank account in Saint Lucia?

Yes, though the bank options are few and the requirements are demanding: passport, proof of address, reference letters and source-of-funds documents. Expect a possible minimum deposit and higher non-resident fees.

Do I need residency or a CBI passport?

Neither is required and neither guarantees anything. A citizenship by investment passport does not oblige a bank to onboard you - the decision follows its own checks.

What currency will the account be in?

Usually the East Caribbean dollar, which is pegged to the US dollar, plus USD accounts. Euro and sterling accounts are not offered everywhere, so budget for conversion costs.

Will the bank report my account back home?

Yes. Saint Lucia exchanges account information under CRS with your country of tax residence, and you still have to declare the account there.
