Pohnpei is one of the rainiest places on earth and it rains all year. December to March is usually the drier stretch and the easier time for waterfalls and Nan Madol. Temperatures stay around 30C with high humidity whatever the month.

How do you get to Pohnpei?

Flights come via Guam, Honolulu or Manila, and the schedule is thin with limited seats. On the island you get around by rental car or taxi; there is no public transport in the usual sense. Nan Madol is normally visited with a local guide and timed to the tide.
