November to March is the only genuinely comfortable window: warm days, cool evenings. From May to September dry heat pushes past 40C and life moves indoors into the malls. Plan the Edge of the World trip for winter as well.

Do you need a visa for Saudi Arabia?

Citizens of many countries can get an e-visa online or on arrival, but the eligible list and the conditions are revised fairly often, and health insurance usually comes bundled with it. Check the official visa portal before you book flights.
