Investment property: Turkmenistan
We act on the buyer's side: shortlist, checks, end-to-end deal support.
Turkmenistan is one of the most closed property markets in the world. The economy and the housing market are almost entirely state-controlled, there is virtually no open property market involving foreigners, and a non-resident's ability to register ownership is extremely limited. Even entering the country requires a visa that is not easy to obtain. There is no residence or citizenship program tied to property in Turkmenistan. To be direct: this is not a market for a private foreign investor, and we do not recommend treating it as an investment destination.
If you have a specific reason to deal with Turkmenistan - a corporate project or family circumstances, for example - we can help you understand the legal framework, assess which forms of ownership or use are actually available, and support the process. In all other cases we will suggest alternative markets in the region where foreign owners' rights are protected and transactions follow clear, workable rules.
