Investment property: UAE

We act on the buyer's side: shortlist, checks, end-to-end deal support.

The UAE is one of the most open real estate markets in the world for foreign buyers. Non-residents can purchase property outright (freehold) in designated zones of Dubai, Abu Dhabi and the other emirates. There is no annual property tax or personal income tax in the usual sense, and the dirham is pegged to the US dollar. A property purchase of AED 2 million or more qualifies for a 10-year golden visa, one of the best known residency-by-real-estate programs anywhere. At the same time, the market is cyclical and much of the supply is off-plan, so the choice of developer and project matters a great deal.

We start with your goal: capital preservation, rental income, a future relocation or a golden visa. We then shortlist properties, vet the developer and the title, manage the transaction from reservation to registration with the land department, and help you choose an ownership structure, personal or corporate. If a residency visa is part of the plan, we run the immigration process in parallel with the purchase.

FAQ

Can a foreigner buy property in the UAE?
Yes. In designated freehold zones of Dubai, Abu Dhabi and other emirates, non-residents buy property with full ownership, no local partner and no nationality restrictions.
Does buying property in the UAE grant residency?
Yes. A purchase of AED 2 million or more qualifies for a 10-year golden visa, and shorter residency visas exist for less expensive properties. The rules are updated from time to time, so we verify the current requirements at the moment of the transaction.
Where do we start?
With your goal: budget, purpose (income, relocation, visa) and holding horizon. We then prepare a shortlist of properties, a transaction plan and, if needed, a visa plan.

Don’t want to figure this out alone?
