Digital nomad visa in the Bahamas
The Bahamas Extended Access Travel Stay (BEATS) Permit - legal remote living on the islands with no local taxes.
BEATS is a visa for people who work for themselves or remotely for a foreign company, and for students enrolled at institutions outside the Bahamas.
Who can apply for the visa
The program covers two categories of applicant.
- Foreign nationals who are self-employed or work for a company outside the Bahamas.
- Students enrolled at an accredited educational institution outside the Bahamas.
Duration and income requirements
The visa is issued for up to one year and can be renewed for up to three years in total. There is no separate income threshold - you have to show that you have funds to support yourself.
