The Barbados Welcome Stamp is a visa for people who work remotely for a company outside Barbados. It lets you live on the island legally for up to a year, with the option to apply again.
Visa requirements
Foreign nationals working for a company outside Barbados can apply for the 12-Month Welcome Stamp Visa.
- Validity. Up to one year, with the option to apply again.
- Minimum income. You need to declare an expected income of at least $50,000 (≈$4,167 per month) for the 12 months the visa is valid.
- Visa fee. $2,000 for an individual application, $3,000 for a family; a 25% discount applies on renewal.
- Taxes. Welcome Stamp holders do not become Barbados tax residents, so foreign income is not subject to local income tax (0%). The 12.5-28.5% rates apply to ordinary tax residents of the island.
