Business accounts: Israel

An honest assessment before work starts, the quote is fixed in writing.

We assess your chances against your profile, prepare the compliance file, help you present your source of funds properly and handle communication with the bank until it decides. The final decision always rests with the bank, so no one can guarantee an opening - careful preparation simply improves the odds.

We quote the exact cost for this country after a short consultation: it depends on the bank and your residency. The quote is fixed in writing before work starts.

FAQ

Can a foreigner open a bank account for an Israeli company?
The company must be registered with an Israeli company number, have appointed directors and full beneficial owner documentation. Foreign ownership is allowed, but compliance is heavy: the bank digs into the business and the origin of the capital. Refusals without a detailed explanation are common.
What do Israeli banks ask business clients?
Source of funds and ownership structure, contracts, exposure to sanctioned jurisdictions and the tax residence of the owners. Israeli banks are historically cautious because of AML rules and their US correspondent relationships.
Does a director have to come to Israel in person?
Almost always. Signing and identification happen at the branch. A lawyer with a power of attorney can prepare most of the file, but fully remote opening is unusual.
Is there an alternative to a bank for an Israeli company?
Payment and acquiring providers cover some flows, but payroll, VAT and reporting still need a proper bank account. Treat bank onboarding as a required step, not an optional one.
