How long is the Taiwan startup visa valid?
It is usually issued for 1 year and can be renewed. After that a residence permit is issued, which can be extended twice, each time for up to 2 years, if over the year the company earned at least 3 million Taiwan dollars, or had an average annual income of 3 million or more at the second extension, or if operating expenses for the year (or on average over three years) came to at least 1 million Taiwan dollars, or the company employs at least 3 local staff, or there is other proof of a contribution to the country's economy.
Can I bring my family on the startup visa?
Yes, visa holders can bring a spouse and minor children.
What are the language requirements?
There are no official Chinese or English language requirements, but knowing them is useful in business.
