International Entrepreneur Parole (IEP) is a temporary permission to live in the United States and build an innovative startup.

Legal basis
The International Entrepreneur Parole (IEP) program lets foreign entrepreneurs stay in the United States temporarily in order to grow their startups. The main conditions:
- A recently created startup. The company must have been registered in the US within the last five years.
- Substantial investment or grants. The startup must have raised at least $250,000 from qualified investors, or at least $100,000 in grants from government bodies.
- Active involvement of the entrepreneur. The applicant must own at least 10% of the company and play a key role in running it.

How to get a US startup visa
Checking eligibility
The startup has to meet the program criteria: how recently it was created and how much investment it has raised.
Gathering documents
A business plan, proof of investment or grants, and documents confirming your role in the company.
Filing Form I-941
The form is sent to US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) together with the fee and supporting documents.
Biometrics appointment
After the application is filed, a date is set for fingerprints and a photo.
The USCIS decision
