When is the best time to visit Delhi?

October to March is the comfortable season, roughly 20-28C by day. April to June can exceed 45C and July to September is the monsoon. One caveat: from November to January Delhi is covered in heavy smog, so anyone with asthma or small children should pick another month.

How many days do you need in Delhi?

Two or three cover the Red Fort and Old Delhi, Humayun's Tomb, Qutub Minar, the National Museum and Lodhi Gardens. Most people fold the city into the Golden Triangle with Agra and Jaipur, which adds three or four days. The metro is fast and cheap and beats a taxi in traffic.

Is Delhi safe for tourists?

The issue is scams rather than violence: fake tourist offices, drivers who take you somewhere else, stories about your hotel or the station being closed. Book cars through Uber or Ola, reserve accommodation in advance and refuse improvised itineraries. Women travelling alone should avoid late-night trips, and the metro has a women-only carriage.

Can you move to India?

Living costs are low and English is widely used, but air quality, bureaucracy and sheer density are real trade-offs. Long-term status usually means an employment visa from a company, which carries a fairly high salary threshold, or a business visa, and both get revised. India does not recognise dual citizenship, though people of Indian origin can hold OCI status, which gives effectively indefinite rights to live and work without a passport or the vote.
