Who can get the visa

The visa is open to foreign nationals working for themselves or for a company abroad. It is issued for up to one year, with the option to renew it for another two years.

Income requirements

The minimum income is €3,500 per month. If a spouse comes with you, you need an additional 20% of that amount, plus another 15% for each dependent child.

Taxes

Personal income tax in Cyprus is progressive: income up to €19,500 a year is not taxed, from €19,000 to €28,000 the rate is 20%, from €28,000 to €36,000 it is 25%, from €36,000 to €60,000 it is 30%, and above €60,000 it is 35%.

Cost of living

A family of four needs around €2,700 per month to live in Cyprus excluding rent, and a single person around €800. Renting a one-bedroom apartment in the city centre costs around €900 per month.
