Business accounts: Grenada

An honest assessment before work starts, the quote is fixed in writing.

We assess your chances against your profile, prepare the compliance file, help you present your source of funds properly and handle communication with the bank until it decides. The final decision always rests with the bank, so no one can guarantee an opening - careful preparation simply improves the odds.

We quote the exact cost for this country after a short consultation: it depends on the bank and your residency. The quote is fixed in writing before work starts.

FAQ

Can I open a bank account for a Grenada company?
You can register the company, but the banking sector is small and very cautious. Local banks focus on residents and on businesses that genuinely operate on the island - tourism, real estate, services. A shell set up for international flows is unlikely to get an account here.
Why do Caribbean banks take so long?
The region has been losing correspondent relationships with large US and European banks for years, and one risky client can put those links at risk. So reviews are slow and deep: ownership, real activity, source of funds, counterparties. A refusal with no explanation is normal.
Do I need a local director or office in Grenada?
There is no hard resident director rule for an account, but the bank will ask what connects you to the jurisdiction. A real address, staff, local contracts or property all improve your odds. Purely nominee presence is easy for banks to spot and they do not like it.
What if I cannot get a business account in Grenada?
The usual answer is a bank in a jurisdiction with solid correspondent channels, plus a payment provider for day to day flows. A Grenada company can often be banked outside Grenada if that fits your rules. Budget for banking, not incorporation, being the hard part.
