Malta payment services provider (PSP) license

Open pricing. The final quote is fixed in writing before work starts.

A Malta PSP license authorizes payment services in an EU jurisdiction: payment processing, transfers, acquiring and related services. Licensing is handled by the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA). It suits fintech projects that need a European regulated status and access to passporting into other EEA countries.

The work is split into three stages: preparing the MFSA application package, supporting the review of the application, and the final licensing stage. In parallel we incorporate the Maltese company and assist with the share capital contribution and bank account opening. The process is demanding: the regulator expects a real team, a coherent business model and transparent sources of funds - we tell you this before we start, not after.

FAQ

Can I serve other EU countries with a Maltese license?
An EU license comes with a passporting mechanism for payment services into other EEA countries. It is one of the main reasons to pick Malta.
How is the process structured?
Three stages: preparing the MFSA documents, supporting the application review, and the final licensing stage. Plus company incorporation, capital and a bank account.
What will be required from us?
A real team, a well-developed business model, capital and transparent sources of funds. Without these, an MFSA application makes no sense.
