Requirements for the applicant

  • An innovative business plan. The project must be new and original, and must not duplicate existing companies.
  • Sponsor endorsement. You need backing from an accredited British incubator, accelerator or university.
  • Financial standing. At least £1,270 per applicant.
  • English language. Level B2 or above on the CEFR scale.
  • No criminal record and compliance with immigration requirements.

No, an office is not required in the early stages, but the business must be registered in the United Kingdom.
