An honest assessment before work starts, the quote is fixed in writing.

We assess your chances against your profile, prepare the compliance file, help you present your source of funds properly and handle communication with the bank until it decides. The final decision always rests with the bank, so no one can guarantee an opening - careful preparation simply improves the odds.

We quote the exact cost for this country after a short consultation: it depends on the bank and your residency. The quote is fixed in writing before work starts.

FAQ

How does a company open a bank account in Colombia?
The company registers with the chamber of commerce, obtains a NIT from the tax authority DIAN, and only then can approach a bank. Expect to provide corporate documents, beneficial owner details and the legal representative in person. For foreign owners, that local representative is the main bottleneck.
Do I need a Colombian resident director?
Shareholders do not have to be residents, but in practice the legal representative needs a Colombian ID, the cedula de extranjeria, which in turn means an immigration status. A few banks will work through a power of attorney, but that is the exception. Without someone local, the process usually stalls.
What does compliance ask a company for?
Origin of capital, ownership structure, a description of the business, expected turnover and the countries you deal with. Banks are wary of higher-risk sectors and of money from jurisdictions with no transparent trail. Foreign investment also has to be registered under the central bank's exchange regime.
How long does it take and what if I am refused?
Usually weeks, longer once a foreign structure is involved. Refusals are routine and the bank owes you no explanation; the practical answer is another bank and a stronger file. Payment providers can bridge some flows, but local taxes and payroll still need a bank account.
