An honest assessment before work starts, the quote is fixed in writing.

We assess your chances against your profile, prepare the compliance file, help you present your source of funds properly and handle communication with the bank until it decides. The final decision always rests with the bank, so no one can guarantee an opening - careful preparation simply improves the odds.

We quote the exact cost for this country after a short consultation: it depends on the bank and your residency. The quote is fixed in writing before work starts.

FAQ

Can a non-resident open a bank account in the Dominican Republic?
Some banks do open accounts for foreigners on a passport, but the terms are tighter than for residents and certain banks only deal with cedula holders. Once you have residency it gets much easier. The decision rests with the individual bank, and sometimes with the individual branch.
Do I need residency for a Dominican bank account?
Not always, but with residency and a cedula the range of banks and products widens and the paperwork lightens. Without residency the bank offsets the risk by asking for more documents and references. Many people start with a basic account and upgrade after getting status.
What documents do I need for a Dominican account?
A passport, proof of address, evidence of income or source of funds, and usually reference letters - one from a bank plus a personal or professional one. Non-residents are typically asked for more. Foreign documents may need an apostille and a Spanish translation.
Can I hold a USD account in the Dominican Republic?
Yes, banks offer accounts in pesos and in US dollars, often side by side. Foreign currency transactions and dollar cash withdrawals can carry limits and fees. Check the conversion terms, since the bank rate differs from the market rate.
